I am Johanna Valtetsiotis, Founder and Managing Attorney of NeoVita Law Group, a boutique immigration firm dedicated to helping individuals and families build new lives with expert and compassionate guidance. The name NeoVita comes from Neo, Greek for “new,” and Vita, Latin for “life.” Neo also honors my husband, who serves as the firm’s COO and whose unwavering support and belief in our mission inspire the work we do together. Together, we celebrate the spirit of blended, multicultural families and shared journeys, reflecting the empathy, understanding, and care that guide every aspect of our practice.
Originally from Colombia, I have built my life and career across two countries, the United States and Canada, and have traveled to five continents and more than twenty-five countries. These experiences give me a global perspective and a deep appreciation for the courage, determination, and vision it takes to start a new life in another country.
I am licensed to practice law in both the United States and Canada and focus on U.S.immigration matters, including employment based, family based, and humanitarian cases. I have extensive experience guiding multinational executives, top talent, entrepreneurs, investors, and families through work visas, permanent residency, and complex cross border immigration matters. I am known for my strategic precision and empathetic advocacy, helping clients navigate challenges such as Requests for Evidence, agency denials, and consular processing with clarity, confidence, and care.
In Canada, I practiced criminal law and worked on land negotiations with the Government of Canada. I also have experience in Indigenous governance, international advocacy, and United Nations negotiations. These diverse experiences have strengthened my ability to approach every case creatively, with cultural awareness, and a nuanced understanding of legal systems around the world. I earned my Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Ottawa, a Master of Science in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, and an Honours Bachelor of Health Sciences from Western University, where I graduated at the top of my class.
I understand the challenges of immigration firsthand, having navigated them myself. I know what it feels like to have my own future and the future of my family in the hands of a legal professional, and I bring that perspective to every client I serve. When you choose to work with me, you are not simply hiring an attorney, you are gaining a trusted advocate who will treat your case as if it were my own. I prioritize transparency at every step, providing clear guidance, tailored strategies, and unwavering support so that you can feel informed, confident, and empowered throughout your immigration journey.
When I am not advocating for my clients or mentoring my legal team, I find joy in spending quality time with my family. I especially cherish traveling with my husband and sharing new experiences with our daughters, Ellie and Zoey. I also love supporting their passions, particularly their dancing, whether by cheering from the sidelines, sharing in the rhythm together, or celebrating their milestones and growth.
Wherever your path leads, whether to the United States, Italy, Spain, or beyond, it is an honor to walk beside you. Each story of new life reminds me of my own, and at NeoVita, your dreams are the foundation of our mission. Your goals become mine, and your challenges, my mission.
At NeoVita, your dreams are our mission.
Thank you for entrusting us with your NeoVita!
With years of dedicated immigration practice, I’ve built a proven track record helping individuals, families, and professionals navigate complex U.S. immigration pathways.
